Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 31, 2026
Recipe Ripper is a browser extension that extracts and saves recipes from websites. Your privacy is simple because we collect almost nothing.
What data stays on your device
- All saved recipes are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. We never see them and have no access to them.
What happens when you use the Share feature
- When you choose to share a recipe, the recipe data (title, ingredients, instructions, and image URLs) is sent to our Cloudflare Worker and stored temporarily with a 90-day expiration. Shared recipes are accessible to anyone with the generated link.
- No personal information is attached to shared recipes. No account, name, email, or IP address is stored alongside the recipe.
What we do NOT collect
- No personal information
- No browsing history
- No analytics or tracking
- No cookies
- No account or login information
Third-party services
- Cloudflare Workers is used to host shared recipe links. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to their infrastructure.
